Kowtown Chili Cook Off

One ticket entitles you to a sampling of each chili entry and a vote in the top three chili choices.

Chili Definition:
Chili can carry many different definitions. Since this is an unsanctioned event, we
are granted with some leniency with our definition given our contestants ability
to be personal. Contestants must come prepared to explain the ingredients as
part of the presentation for your chili.

Cooking:
Contestants are permitted to cook their chili at any point up until the moment
the event starts. At the start of the event all contests must have their chili heated
up and ready to serve to the community. Allowing the cooking off-site, the
community is trusting the contestant to prepare the chili within the guidelines of
Florida Food Safety Codes. All contestants must sign an
agreement stating to this requirement during the registration for this event. Each
contestant must arrive no later than 11AM and must be ready to serve warm
samples @ 11:45AM. The overall event will be 12PM-5PM

Contestants:
Contestants must provide 10 gallons of Chili for approx. 1,200 taste testers. This
will give each taste tester 1 fluid ounce of chili. This event is for the community,
both business and resident. Come ready to represent who you are as a business
in Kissimmee, ready to meet the residents of Kissimmee and surrounding area.

Corporate Sponsors logo will appear on social media and will receive stage mention. Sponsorship includes a vendor booth. Please see rules.

All vendors are to arrive no later than 11:00 am for set up at 400 Emmitt. Follow vendor signs to check in.
All vendors using tents must have tent weights of no less than 25lbs per leg
All vendors must stay the entirety of the even for the safety of all
All vendors strike at 5:00PM
One vendor business per table

All small business vendors must be one or more of the following:
A. CRA district business
B. Home based cottage law business
C. Artisan
D. Local Grown
E. Hand Made
